Zander and Liana

My wife Margie and I spent 10 days with www.zanderbiermansafaris.co.za.

7 days hunting with Zander and three days with Liana at Kruger national Park

Liana should be a renowned chef her food is spectacular.

Zander along with his tracker Jim are amazing to hunt with. Just go and

hunt with them, you will not regret it.

I rate them with 6 stars out of 5. Looking forward to going back.

I can build you a gun that shoots factory ammo.

Furiosa

Cobra

Wild Man

For the beauty of wood and flexibility and

precision of a chassis stock the Furiosa is for you

This stock would be great for long-range hunting                         Lightest hunting/Precision aluminum chassis

or precision shooting, better yet both.

Method # 1

Best on over the counter bolt action rifle for medium to long range hunting

This method the barrel is dialed in to within .001 on chamber end, opposite end is centered using a plastic donut. Method taught @ Lassen College

Method # 2

Best on trued or custom action for long range hunting/shooting

This method the barrel is dialed in on both ends using 4 jaw chuck and spiders to within .001

Method # 3

In my opinion the very best and accurate way of re-barreling a custom or blue printed action for extreme long range

This method the barrel is dialed in using a grizzly rod. The chamber end of barrel is dialed in to within .0010 and inline with action, the muzzle end of barrel is then timed so bullet exits at 12:00

Blue printing Remington style actions on lathe.

Truing receiver face on lathe with bolt mandrel

Truing bolt

There are different degrees of blue-printing an action,                                  Sleeving a bolt also improves a rifles accuracy,                A full blue-print usually includes: Truing receiver face                                    it reduces the up and down movement or slop the

receiver threads and locking lug abutments.                                                     bolt has inside of the action, tighter tolerance better

Truing bolt face, lugs and nose, and then lapping bolt lugs                             accuracy. Another way to reduce this bolt play is to        to  receiver.                                                                                                               use epoxy inside of the action,(epoxy bedding).

My client brought me a $300.00 Savage axis rifle  because it wasn't shooting very good. I re-barreled the rifle, using a slightly used $50.00 Savage take off barrel.  I set the head space so that the action closed with feel on the go gauge, but would not close on the go-gauge with a piece of tape 2,000 thick on it back side. ( It had a nice tight lock-up).

Next I  took a new Boyd's pro-varmint stock, pillar and glass bedded the action to the stock and free floated the barrel.  My client just sent me this picture of his target, 100 yards 6 shots with factory Hornady precision hunter ammunition.  Total investment including labor was around $770.00
